A lot is happening. A lot that doesn't justify being typed about because I just need to let it simmer inside and people will catch on later.
I went out with Paige, Dana, and Tim Tim last night. It was a damn good time. I don't see Dana enough. She's a good soul. It's really rare to run into a fellow fox on the streets.
I went to my first open mic at a place called The Elixir Lab on NE Alberta. I felt like I was in a mental institute on a pirate ship. Eccentric but in tune with a greater goodness of art and creativity. It was a beautiful experience and I think this will become a regular Wednesday night ritual of mine.
It's one of those experiences you get lost in and can't believe these people are playing just for the fuck of music and expression. How are they not playing to the masses? And at the end of every performance I thought damn.. I wish I had recorded that, but also I'm glad I just experienced it.
I did get video of one fellow named Paris. He is a beautiful creature and I loved every move he made, and his tunes were soul moving, too. I will post that video later this evening or tomorrow. I have too much I want to do today to waste time sitting in front of a computer.
Going to make preorders for my book available really soon.
My apartment is becoming more and more my home with every passing moment. It's a beautiful thing.
I end this blog of rambling with the some words I heard at the open mic night that blew my brain. Simple but exactly what I needed to here.
"Just breathe; you're already there."
