Hello Portland!

After many thousand miles and many adventures it feels good to be back. Now to get this apartment shit on track.​ Pictures of Shoshone Falls tomorrow or Thursday.

It's about that time..

The inevitable ​feeling feeling of vacation coming to an end and having to go back to work. It's not that I hate my job. I work with some of the most amazing people I've ever met. I sincerely mean that. They all have amazing personality and still know how to work together for a greater purpose to get their shit done.

​I just want to get to the point where I can read, write, and explore on a constant basis. I want to not have to get up and go to work. I want my work to be learning. I'm not talking about college. College leaves me with debt. I don't want debt. I want knowledge.

​But on a brighter note. It's very mellowing to listen to loud music on the big open road. To wander the great deserts of Nevada. To climb giant rock structures. About to go see a beautiful waterfall. The winds here in Idaho are currently gusting 27-37mph. Slightly ridiculous, but mostly just awesome. 

​I'm very anxious to see the reaction to A.B. TV. It's really just another way for me to learn from people. Okay enough rambling. There's responsibilities and adventures to be had. 

Arrived in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Climbed many awesome rock/boulder things along the way. ​

Unfortunately my pictures I feel don't do it justice, but I climbed halfway up this rock thing. Also a big sandy rock mountain in Nevada but I don't have pictures of that one. 

I only got halfway up this, but there is something amazing about climbing giants ​in just the clothes on your back. 

​We stopped by the Silver River Canyon to take a few pictures and saw the Silver River Bridge. Which might I add is fucking huuuuuuuggggee!!! Damn! 

Tomorrow we find Shoshone Falls! ​

Where there is a gigantic, beautiful waterfall waiting for me and who knows what misadventures between here and there. ​

Having lots of fun with Adam, but ​miss the trees of Oregon. Be back soon. Also words about this A.B. TV thing I've been working on tonight.

Beautiful rolling mountains as far as the eye can see. The sky was a beautiful purple, orange sunset. So quiet and far away from civilization. ​

Adventure

The best adventures can't be photographed; they live on in sore muscles, sun scorched faces, poems, and songs. ​

Sooooo....

Actually rode down "The Loneliest Road in America" tonight. Nevada is beautiful, but it goes on and on and on and on.

Leaving Flagstaff onto somewhere in Nevada. Somewhere... not sure where yet.

Climbed A Big Boulder/Rock Thing in Arizona...

​It was super fun and I felt very small;

and that, that was very awesome. ​

Arrived in Flagstaff, AZ...

Many, many hours later Adam and I reached Flagstaff. Arizona. ​

New Mexico was a bit flat and boring for a while but as we neared Arizona there were plenty of giant rocks and hills. Adam and I stopped and climbed some. I'll post those pictures in another update.​

Roswell as a city was boring, but watching the people was interesting. A lot like the Southeast USA then but a lot more Hispanic people. Quite beautiful seeing so many bilingual peoples. It's almost like being in another country. 

​But also a futuristic glimpse of what our country will be in the future; as far as language goes. I hope our country isn't like the Southeast in the future.

In Other News: I miss Smoggie Catt.

Goodbye Roswell! ​

San Antonio, Texas to Roswell, New Mexico

After leaving Houston Adam and I left for San Antonio. The town was much more beautiful than I remember. The river walk going through the town awesome. Much greener than I remember and some amazing architecture. ​

From there we left and went to Hondo and saw my grandparents. FIrst time in a few years. It was good to catch up. Then we switched off driving throughout the night and arrived in Roswell at about 6am. Driving throughout the night felt really amazing. Wide open road. I never noticed Texas had a hilly side.

Which brings me to ​first post. We found a place outside Roswell called Bottomless Lake State Park. Very rugged landscape, but a lot of the lakes have shrank in size, but you can walk amongst the ground. It's the closest thing I can imagine to what it would probably look like on Mars. Very martian looking. 

Houston, Texas

Met up with an old friend Curtis: had some drinks, sang some drunken karaoke and ate at an AMAZING Tex- Mex Restaurant called "El Real." The restaurant was a big old theatre converted into a restaurant and the food was to die for. 

All the Adventures Are Going Down!

Finally made it out of Texas. A lot more respect for the state than I had before, but glad to be out of it. Been in Roswell, New Mexico for about half an hour. Time to power nap and adventure. I'll post cool pictures and head thoughts this afternoon when we check into a hotel. ​

This Is Why I Love Portland, Oregon.

The last few days have been absolutely beautiful. Sunny and a nice cool breeze. Nice enough to wear a jacket comfortably. 

But alas now I need to pack for this road trip! Meeting Adam in Texas tomorrow night then the adventures begin. ​

2 More Days!

And I'll be adventuring with Adam on the big, open road!

Maybe we will meet aliens from a neighboring planet! ​

​Regardless there will be many pictures and stories to be told. 

1 week!

Flying to Houston a week from today to meet up with Adam. From which point I will road trip back to Oregon with him! So many adventures will on the horizon! ​

I get to see my grandparents, the grand canyon, and all kinds of nature stuff!​ I'll be posting many updates: pictures, stories, etc!
