new music video

IMG_20191114_042152_023.jpg

I was chased around the planet and then taken back to the dark side of the moon and played some music in Icarus Flamingo’s spaceship.

It’s an epic of a music video // mini movie. It’s a two part video.

The first part being Icarus’s tunes and the second part being a live set of my own.

Thank you for the adventure Icarus! I’m looking forward to our future adventures.

Check out Icarus’s youtube page. There are more bands to check out on his page.

Subscribe to keep up with his doings.

This thing has only just begun.

Making art with friends is what it’s all about.

I appreciate what you’re doing Icarus.

Never stop.

You can tell them you read it here first.

My Song Of The Day

Portugal. The Man - The Sun.

If you look real high you just might find
Sitting in the stars, glistening, glistening
Waiting for the band to come
Just waiting for that man to come.
Oh, I wonder...

Slip on down from the sun to climb,
Down to earth and down to things like time,
Because we are all, we are all just lovers,
Born of earth and light like all the others.

If you're talking to the moon,
The moon might sing about the universe
Shouting: "I don't need, I don't need time",
I breathe in time.
Where are we now?
Where are we now?

Slip on down from the sun to climb,
Down to earth and down to things like time,
Because we are all, we are all just lovers,
Born of earth and light like all the others.

If you're looking for the river just find the mouth,
It's grinding like gnashing teeth foaming out, foaming out,
Mixing up the hell to come.
Just mixing up the hell to come.

And it's fixing up to swallow me whole.
It's fixing up to swallow me whole.
It's fixing up to swallow my soul.
Fixing up to swallow me whole.

Slip on down from the sun to climb,
Down to earth and down to things like time,
Because we are all, we are all just lovers,
Born of earth and light like most these others.

Where, where are we now?
Where, where are we now?
Where, where are we now?
Where, where are we now?

David Bowie - Valentine's Day

Sometimes I don't listen to music or watch music videos when they are first released because I am into another type of music at the time and don't feel I'm able to focus on the music whole heartedly and/or if I feel there is a lot of hype around it I wait it out for months sometimes even years to see how I really feel about it.

Such was the case for David Bowie's most recent single; Valentine's Day. I watched the first 3 singles as soon as they came out from this album but felt like I needed to wait to watch this one so I could appreciate it more.

But holy wowzers!  This is the best LOOKING video from this album so far, and that's not undermining the others at all. But the colors and angles and crispness of this is absolutely wonderful.

Mister Bowie; you're looking just as powerful and mysterious as always!

And that guitar... So good!

This is definitely one of my favorite Bowie albums; very present but uniquely Bowie. I don't think it's caught on like it needs to yet. It kind of jumped out and slid into the shadows. I still hope Bowie does at least one live appearance in support of this album.

My Song of The Day

Portugal. The Man - Sleep Forever

As I finally meet my end
I won't be scared, I won't defend
The things I've done
I don't need him like you do
I don't fear him like you do

As the world revolves the sun
I hope the light that I become can
Sleep for once
I will leave it like you do
I won't lead it like you do
I won't leave it like they do
I don't need him like they do

I just want to sleep forever
Never see tomorrow
Or lead or follow
I don't want to work forever
Know what I know
Or beg or borrow

Just like our mothers
Who gave us our homes
We'll be just like our fathers
And go out on their own
'Cause we are the colors
Of all that you see
We'll be just like our brothers
And take to the streets
Take to the streets

I just want to sleep forever
Never see tomorrow
Lead or follow

As my world it hides behind
The words only your wars define
They read a lot like news
But I fear it more than you
I fear it more than you

I just want to sleep forever
Never see tomorrow
Or lead or follow
I don't want to work forever
Know what I know
Or beg or borrow

Just like old lovers
Who never leave home
We'll forget the city
And forget the roads
'Cause we are all rebels
Never do what we're told
We may not grow money
But man we grow old
Man we grow old

I just want to sleep forever
Never see tomorrow
Or lead or follow
I don't want to work forever
Know what I know
Or beg or borrow

Just like our mothers
Who gave us our homes
We'll be just like our fathers
And go out on our own
'Cause we are the colors
In all that you see
We'll be just like our brothers
And take to the streets

'Cause we are all children
Yeah, we are all man
It may not be much
But we do what we can
Don't need no preacher
To make us believe
That everything's perfectly
Fucked up like me

New Father John Misty Video

The first track from Fear Fun, and the hopefully the final video from this album.

Very solemn tone after the his first few videos; but lyrically it makes sense with the video. And taking into consideration he's been touring relentlessly since Fear Fun's release this would make a perfect final single for this album.

I hope he gets some time to rest and hopefully write new tunes. Stay awesome Father John Misty.

New David Bowie Music Video

I'm not going to say I fully understand the video, but I definitely have an idea. I might dive into that thought process at a later time. As for now enjoy the third and title track "The Next Day" by David Bowie. Also starring Gary Oldman and other famous people I don't recognize.

Mostly I just hope that sick feeling in my stomach that says "this is Bowie's official goodbye" is wrong.

Favorite Tracks off FOB's Save Rock n' Roll

So I was going to write out my thoughts on the new Fall Out Boy album, but as of now my attention span hasn't allowed such things to happen. So I'll just share my favorite tracks. If you haven't listened to the album yet then get to it!

  1. Phoenix
  2. My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up)
  3. The Mighty Fall
  4. Miss Missing You
  5. Death Valley
  6. Rat A Tat
  7. Save Rock N' Roll

Seriously tried to narrow it down to five favorites and couldn't. It's a fairly solid album. Good to have the boys back kicking ass!
