Wedding Weekend

It’s going to take me a moment to fully transcribe all the love and gratitude I have for this weekend.

Firstly, to Ashley Klump, for loving this crazy fox enough to give me a shot at the ultimate commitment.

Secondly, to all the friends and family, that came from near and far and helped put all the little pieces together to make this a celebration a reality! I’m going to miss a lot of names so give me time to take notes and better explain each in depth.

Off the top of my head, Chelsey, Alex Edmands, Clyshaw, Burt, Elaine, Aunt Mag, Craig and Kristie Klump, Bonnie Latham.. Damn I know I am forgetting so many! Hank! Flying Caravan! Ian Rowan! All the volunteers at TCWL!

Holy wow ya’ll! Seeing our families commingle, seeing what our little nieces found magical in nature! All the little art pieces!

The giant canvases everyone collaborated to create, the little everyone painted, we’ve yet to fully absorb, the gifts and cards from everyone, (Josh and Hank) for the handmade art gifts, all the beautiful toasts… Matt! Nate! for becoming closer and better friends! Nicole for the sound advice of staying hydrated and helping Ashley and my self in so many ways it’ll days to explain!

I am beyond words and there are many more moments to share!

It felt necessary to try and write a little while I’m still buzzing!

Atomic for the flowers!

Bethany and Brian for photos and video, we cannot wait to see!

Thank you everybody! I am so grateful and love you ALL SO FREAKIN MUCH!

Kellen and Brit for helping get the food! AAaaaah!!! I know there are so many more to thank! and I will! Either digitally or most likely in a hand written note. You made this fox and swan’s dream a reality and it wouldn’t have been the same without every freakin one of you! thank you!! thank you!! thank you!!

Smit and Smack

What’s in a sentence? What’s in a sentence? What’s in a sentence?

How did Howard not know what was to become of Uncle Bill?

Man cannot live off grease and carbs alone! No!

Hold up! I should explain to ya (the reader) a couple things at least.

First, April Allergies in Portland, Oregon - like clockwork, always show up again and make me fight for breath.

Secondly, the end of imagination will be the end of civilization.

New Week / New Tracks

I uploaded a new set of songs titled “Radikali Transmissions”.

Hope you’ll give them a listen and let me know your thoughts.

I’ve been listening to a lot of Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, and Andy Summers. Portland winters makes their music quite the perfect soundtrack for my wandering mind.

Also recently finished watching all five seasons of the scifi “Babylon 5” so it definitely has some of them vibes.

Time to write a grocery list and hopefully art a little bit between making dinner and cleaning up my bedroom.

Be Free Ya’ll!

October and Her Colors

Oh it’s my birthday month, turning 35 tomorrow. There’s a full moon tomorrow night, too. The colors around town have not disappointed this year. Always remembering that wandering is therapy, too. It’s good to find relief in the textures and colors in this realm.

I hear and/or see a hummingbird almost daily and that keeps me in a state of gratitude and mystery. They’re like guardian angels who appear to remind there is still magic even when it feels the world is completely crazy.

reign rain reign

I am grateful to hear, smell, feel the rain falling down in Portland, Oregon today. It’s the first day of the week without coffeehouse responsibilities for me so I’m taking my time and getting into a groove.

Walked around the block in the rain for my first coffee of the morning. There is a giant tree a block from where we live. The only dry spot is under this enormous tree. I saw the owner of the property where the tree grows and she said they have a photo of the tree when the house was first built in 1906 and the tree was only about 5 foot at that time. I’ll have to photograph the tree sometime for the perspective to make sense.

I have a stack of books i’ve been working at getting through so here’s to the next three days of constant rain.

Ashley and I finished this new series on Netflix called “Sweet Tooth” and it was absolutely lovely and I highly recommend it to everyone.

That’s all the words I have at the moment. Until this coffee gets into the bloodstream.

Be free! -ABC

Smoggie Catt is the best kind of Magic!

Smoggie Catt is the best kind of Magic!

It’s full on Spring in Portland, Oregon.

There are layers on layers of green. the flowers are blooming. Pinks and whites, blues, and purples, yellows!

life is a strange thing. it keeps moving on and on. we do our best to pay our rent. we do our jobs, we have fun, we run, we laugh, we fall, and we rise. again and again.

the beauty of it is being concious of the movements. the way a newly worn shoe rubs against an ankle. The way the misty rain sounds on newly blossmed tree leaves. the way the stomach moves in and out as we breathe each breath.

the sky is blank today and that’s okay. the misty rain is nice.

Say hello to someone you don’t know. It’s going to be alright.

Monday day way

It’s been a lovely rainy day in Portland, Oregon.

I took a long walk in the rain to get coffee a few hours ago with Neutral Milk Hotel, In The Aeroplane Over The Sea and Pink Floyd, Dark Side of The Moon in my ears. They fit this weather quite well.

I saw my friend Jay Ringer play musics last nite. What an incredible human being. He plays the keys and the trumpet at the same time. I couldn’t focus to film it because I was far too entranced. Keep doing what you do, Jay. It’s incredibly inspiring.

The night sky is on the horizon. I need to clean up my homebase for a little bit.

Goodbye for now internets.

here i am

there they are

as they always were.

light distorts it

forget about it if you can

i pay attention to details

it was like this and now it’s like this

time and space. 2 realms. always present. always slightly different.

this time it’s James. next time it’s Gabriel.

it’s a different magazine description. a different season. a slightly different hook.

did i create or was i created for this moment?

it seems selfish to assume such an ability

how long can a fox graze among sheep until he begins to lick his teeth?

the owls are not what they seem

and we’ve know this since the 1990’s

who are the owls? what do they see?

the first time i left the planet

i saw unmentionable things

if i want to talk it out

it all sounds crazy

and if you know what i mean

you know why we sing

and why this whole god damned thing

is entertaining to me
