today.

woke up around noon, went for a walk, found an americano, drank about half, started filing taxes, realized I need a proper ID before that can be completed, ate a couple slices of last nite’s pizza, laid back down, had some crazy ass dreams, got up between 4:44 and 4:59pm, wandered to the library, updated info for .com…

and then…. I need to do some laundry. if not all of it, at least some bare necessities. some socks, underwear, clean pants…

Spring has sprang some beautiful colors. lots of rain. I am grateful for that.

some sing, some strum, we can all dance.

Today

Printing resumes and cover letters, cashing the final Starbucks check, and searching the interweb and street for potential job happenings.

The job market has changed a lot since I last had to have a job. It's fascinating how dependent on the internet the search has become.

I like being able to connect face to face.

There are still some job places that offer that possibility don't get me wrong.

The music at Tiny's is spot on Grizzley Bear and Tame Impala. The sky has turned to a solid cloud. Overcast but bright. I could sit here forever but there is work to do.

Goodbye for now interweb.

Today

Today I laid around and enjoyed the comfort of my bed until almost 12.

I biked home in the rain last night. I'm glad the rain has decided to come back. I knew it was going to, it was just taking a little while.

It feels very pleasant outside right now.

Next on the agenda is finishing this coffee and checking this last round of edits for my book!!!

It's almost done! Aaaah! I can't wait to share it with you guys!

And then tonight I go and see The Chariot for the last time ever! That still doesn't feel real to say!

So stoked to see them though. No other band has as great an impact on my musical ambitions to date. Josh Scogin is my original hero.

Today

Today I made my living room my bedroom and my bedroom my living room.

I still need a couch and coffee table and furniture of substance so basically my "living room" is just the room without little to no furniture.

Also today I found a cool little night stand thing.

Also I listened to Destroyer's album Kaputt 3 times, Arcade Fire's Suburbs twice and now I'm listening to the Drive Soundtrack.

I also wrote some words and did some drawing.

Today

Today...

Cleaned up my house. Mostly my closet.

It was becoming a big pile of "stuff to take care of tomorrow..." that actually kept growing for almost 2 weeks.

Had a few drinks with Jackie and Jordyn. Ate bar food aka lots of fried food. It was good but I forgot how much mass amounts of fried stuff fills you up; I'm still full.

And now I will spend the rest of the night watching SciFi movies; because that's the perfect way to finish this simple and mellow day.

Goodnight.

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday!

  • I ran 2 miles for first time in for fucking ever. I ran the whole time, my body is a little in shock, glad I did it.
  • Met a potential guitarist for new band with Adam and Cody. He's Russian, really funny and seems really chill.

Today!

  • Bad News: There will be no episode of A.B. TV
  • Good News: I am tracking vocals to another song for new band tonight.
  • My cheap ass bookshelf collapsed before work.
  • I'm making coffee for Middle America. What's new, eh?
  • I need to finish up the lyrics to this other track.
  • I should probably find a bookshelf.
